Abstract: SECTION 6611 OF THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE PROVIDES THE PERIOD OF TIME DURING WHICH INTEREST ACCRUES ON AN OVERPAYMENT OF TAX. THE FACE OF A TAX RETURN MAY REQUIRE ATTACHMENTS AND SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION. THE RETURN WILL NOT BE TREATED AS FILED UNTIL ALL REQUESTED ATTACHMENT ARE FILED AND ALL REQUESTED INFORMATION IS PROVIDED.
