THE ARIZONA HEALTH CARE COST
CONTAINMENT SYSTEM PROGRAM IS A DEMONSTRATION PROJECT DESIGNED TO
REDUCE HEALTH CARE COSTS THROUGH COMPETITION AND USE OF PHYSICIAN
GATEKEEPERS. TWO SURVEYS ARE PLANNED A BENEFICIARY SURVEY WILL
ASSESS ISSUES SUCH AS USE OF PREVENTIVE SERVICES, ACCESS TO CARE
AND PATIENT SATISFACTION. THE PHYSICIAN SURV WILL ASSESS PROVIDER
EXPERIENCE AND SATISFACTION WITH THE AHCCCS PROGRAM.
