Abstract: SECTION 1883 OF THE SOCIAL SECURITY ACT PRESCRIBES THE METHODOLOGY FOR REIMBURSING SWING-BED PROVIDERS. THIS INFORMATION COLLECTION WILL GATHER FROM THE STATE MEDICAID AGENCIES THE AVERAGE PER DIEM PAYMENT RATES UNDER THE STATE PLAN FOR ROUTINE SERVICES IN SNF'S AND ICF'S RESPECTIVELY DURING THE PREVIOUS CALENDAR YEAR.
