Abstract: CONGRESS MANDATED THE NAEP SURVEY. THIS FIELD TEST SURVEY CONCERNS COLLECTION OF DATA FOR THE NAEP 1985-86 SPECIAL PROBE OF THE EDUCATIONAL PROGRESS OF LANGUAGE MINORITY STUDENTS. INFORMATION WILL BE COLLECTED FROM CHILDREN (AGE 9/GRADE 3, AGE 13/GRADE 7 AND AGE 17 GRADE 11) FROM HOME WHERE A LANGUAGE OTHER THAN ENGLISH IS SPOKEN, THE TEACHERS, AND THEIR PRINCIPALS.
