Abstract: THE INFORMATION PROVIDED IN THIS SURVEY WILL ENABLE NSF TO REPORT ON ESSENTIAL ASPECTS OF FACULTY AND RESEARCH ACTIVITY IN DOCTORATE-GRANTI INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER EDUCATION, IN PARTICULAR, THE UTILIZATION OF RECENT DOCTORATES.
