Abstract: THE LAS PROVIDES ANNUAL MEASURES OF PARTICIPATION IN SELECTED LEISURE ACTIVITIES. ARTS ORGANIZATIONS USE THESE DATA TO MAKE POLICY DECISION BASED ON SUCH THINGS AS CURRENT DEMAND, POTENTIAL AUDIENCE, AND HOW BE TO SERVE THE NEEDS OF THEIR CONSTITUENT POPULATION. RESPONDENTS INCLUDE PERSONS 18 YEARS OR OLDER IN 9,600 HOUSEHOLDS.
