Abstract: INDIVIDUALS WEAR A PUMP AND SMAPLE CARTRIDGE FOR 24 HROUS TO MEASURE AIR POLLUTANTS. THESE PEOPLE ALSO PROVIDE BREATH SAMPLES AND DATA ON OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE, SMOKING STATUS, LENGTH OF RESIDENCY, ETC. EPA USES THIS INFORMATION AND OTHER DATA ON PUBLIC EXPOSURE TO POLLUTANTS IN AIR AND DRINKING WATER TO (1) IDENTIFY HIGH-EXPOSURE CHEMICALS FOR FURTHER STUDY AND (2) RELATE EXPOSURES TO EFFECTS ON HEALTH.
