Terms of Clearance: This survey request is hereby disapproved for failure to provide timel public notice as required under 5 C.F.R. Section 1320.12(a). DOT sent this request to OMB on March 4, 1985 but did not publish notice of suc action in the Federal Register until April 15, 1985. If DOT resubmits this request, it must also revise the justification statement to addre possible duplications with OMB Control No. 2127-0530, a recently approved survey of attitudes towards New York State's mandatory seat belt use law. DOT also must describe NHTSA's plans, if any, to coordinate the results of the proposed nationwide survey with the New York study and any other state mandatory use law surveys it may wish to pursue.
