PRIMARY COPPER SMELTERS ARE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT, IN ADDITION TO AN INITIAL REPORT, AN ANNUAL REPORT OF AVERAGE ANNUAL CONVERTER ARSENIC CHARGING RATE AND QUARTERLY REPORTS OF OPACITY AND FLOW RATE. THE REPORTS ARE NEEDED TO ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH THE STANDARD, AND TO ASSIST EPA IN EVALUATION OF THE STANDARD.
