Abstract: THE ADULT LITERACY INITIATIVE TASK FORCE NEEDS INFORMATION ON THE USE, TRAINING AND BARRIERS TO THE USE OF VOLUNTEERS IN ADULT LITERACY PROGRAMS. THIS STUDY WILL SURVEY ORGANIZATIONS PERFORMING ADULT LITERACY PROGRAMS TO GATHER THIS INFORMATION. THE TASK FORCE WILL USE THIS INFORMATION TO IMPLEMENT THE FEDERAL EMPLOYEE LITERACY TRAINING PROGRAM (FELT) AND OTHER NATIONAL EFFORTS TO REDUCE ILLITERACY AMONG ADULTS.
