Abstract: LOCAL GOVERNMENTS PROVIDE INFORMATION NECESSARY TO: 1) EVALUATE UDAG PROJECT APPLICATIONS, 2) MONITOR PROGESS OF FUNDED PROJECTS, AND 3) CLOSEOUT FUNDED PROJECTS. ACTION GRANTS ASSIST CITIES AND URBAN COUNTIES WHICH ARE EXPERIENCING SEVERE ECONOMIC DISTRESS TO HELP STIMULATE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITY NEEDED TO AID IN ECONOMIC RECOVERY.
