Abstract: U.S. COTTON FUTURES ACT DIRECTS SECRETARY TO DESIGNATE SPOT COTTON MARKETS TO BE USED FOR SETTLEMENT OF FUTURES CONTRACTS. USDA HAS SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE SPOT MARKET QUOTATIONS GROUP IN EAC MARKET. CN-73-1 IS USED BY THE MARKET SUPERVISORS IN TABULATION OF MARKET INFORMATION NEEDED TO FULFILL USDA'S ADVISORY AND SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES WITH THE QUOTATIONS COMMITTEES.
