Abstract: MEDICARE. SURVEYS. SEC. 122 OF TEFRA AND SEC. 2343 OF DRA REQUIRE HC TO EVALUATE THE REIMBURESEMENT AND BENEFIT STRUCTURE FOR HOSPICE CARE UNDER MEDICARE AND TO PROMOTE THE MOST EFFICIENT PROVISION OF HOSPICE CARE. JCAH HAS BEEN CHOSEN TO CONDUCT A SURVEY TO PROVIDE HCFA WITH INFORMATION ABOUT HOSPICES NOT CURRENTLY PARTICIPATING IN MEDICARE AND THEIR ABILITY TO MEET MEDICARE CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION.
