Abstract: THIS STUDY WILL COLLECT INFORMATION ON EXPENDITURES FOR SPECIAL EDUCATION AND RELATED SERVICES FROM A SAMPLE OF 18 STATE AND 60 LOCAL EDUCATION AGENCIES. STUDY RESULTS WILL INFORM ED AND CONGRESS ABOUT THE COSTS OF EDUCATING A HANDICAPPED CHILD, HOW LEAS FINANCE THESE COSTS, AND THE CHARACTERISTICS OF PROGRAMS AND SERVICES.
