for the information cllections contained in the proposed rule. EPA
has identified several issues in the hazardous waste tank
rulemaking, such as the requirement for secondary containment,
which they plan to resolve at the final rulemaking stage. If the
agency makes changes in the final rule that impact upon information
cllections, this information collection request must be amended to
reflect any such changes.

THIS CLEARANCE PACKAGE PROVIDES BURDEN
HOURS ASSOCIATED WITH THE INFORMATION REQUIREMENTS FOR TANK
FACILITIES. UNDER RCRA, EACH HAZARDOUS WASTE FACILITY MUST APPLY
FOR AN OPERATING PERMIT. THE REQUIRED INFORMATION WILL BE SUBMITTED
VOLUNTARILY OR WHEN EPA CALLS IN PART B OF THE RCRA PERMIT. THE
INFORMATION WILL BE USED BY EPA TO DETERMINE ELIGIBILIY FOR A RCRA
PERMIT.
