The EEO-3 is
approved through 5/88. Because the EEO-3 data will now be collected
biennially and because no information is to be collected for 1985,
OMB has allocated only l hour of burden for the report. When EEOC
is ready to begin collecting data for 1986, it should submit an
inventory correction worksheet requesting the number of burden hour
to be imposed by the collection. In the supporting statement for
the EEO-3, EEOC indicates that it will conduct a mailout to
national and international unions informing them of the EEO-3
requirement and requesting that they pass along the information to
their locals. Before mailing the notice, however, EEOC should
submit the notice for OMB approval as part of the EEO-3
package
