Abstract: ECONOMIC AND PUBLIC USE OF THE NATURAL RESOURCES OF WILDLIFE AREAS IS ALLOWED BY PERMIT ONLY. APPLICATION DATA ENABLES THE SERVICE TO ESTABLISH APPLICANT'S ELIGIBILITY, PRIORITY, AND TERMS NECESSARY FOR RESOURCE PROTECTION. DATA FROM SURVEYS IS USED TO MANAGE WILDLIFE POPULATIONS, ASSESS VISITOR USE AND TRENDS FOR MANAGEMENT AND PLANNING PURPOSES. FIFTEEN PREVIOUSLY APPROVED PERMIT APPLICTIONS HAV BEEN CONSOLIDATED INTO A SINGLE COLLECTION REQUIREMENT.
