RULE 17F-5 PERMITS DOMESTIC MANAGEMENT
INVESTMENT COMPANIES TO AUTHORIZE U.S. BANK CUSTODIANS OR
SUB-CUSTODIANS TO PLACE AND MAINTAIN FOREIGN SECURITIES WITH
ELIGIBLE FOREIGN CUSTODIANS. THE RULE ALSO PERMITS CANADIAN
INVESTMENT COMPANIES TO MAINTAIN CERTAIN ASSETS WITH OVERSEAS
BRANCHES OF QUALIFIED U.S. BANKS UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS.
