Abstract: THE INFORMATION COLLECTED IS NEEDED TO PREVENT EARNINGS-RELATED OVERPAYMENTS FOR SOCIAL SECURITY BENEFICIARIES WHO HAVE EARNINGS DURIN A TAXABLE YEAR. THE SOCIAL SECURITY ADMINISTRATION WILL USE THE INFORMATION TO ADJUST CURRENT YEAR BENEFITS BASED ON THE BENEFICIARY'S RESPONSE AS TO WHETHER HE/SHE HAS OVER- OR UNDERESTIMATED CURRENT YEAR EARNINGS.
