Abstract: THE PROPOSED COLLECTION IS A DETAILED ON-SITE AND MAILBACK SURVEY OF A REPRESENTATIVE SAMPLE OF RECREATION VISITORS TO FEDERAL LANDS. VISITO ARE ASKED ABOUT THEIR ACTIVITIES, EXPERIENCES AND EXPENDITURES, AND INVITED TO SUGGEST IMPROVEMENTS. THE RESULTS ARE REPORTED TO CONGRESS AND USED IN PLANNING.
