OSHA REQUIRES A RECORD OF PERIODIC
THOROUGH INSPECTION OF OVERHEAD AND GRANTRY CRANES AND MOBILE
CRANES. THE INSPECTIONS ARE TO DETERMINE THE CONDITION OF HOOKS,
HOIST CHAINS AND BRAKES TO PREVENT INJURY TO EMPLOYEES DUE TO
COMPONENT FAILURE DURING USE.
