Abstract: THE REGULATIONS PROVIDE RULES FOR THE SUBSTANTIATION OF ANY DEDUCTION OR CREDIT CLAIMED FOR CERTAIN BUSINESS-RELATED EXPENSES AND REQUIRE TAXPAYERS TO PROVIDE INFORMATION ON THEIR TAX RETURNS ABOUT THE USE OF THE AUTOMOBILES AND CERTAIN OTHER PROPERTY. THE INFORMATION WILL BE USED BY THE IRS TO ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH APPLICABLE TAX LAW.
