Abstract: NATIONAL POLLUTION DISCHARGE ELIMINATION SYSTEM (NPDES) LABORATORIES ARE TESTED TO DETERMINE IF THE QUALITY OF THEIR ANALYSES IS HIGH ENOUG FOR MONITORING WATER. THE RESULTS OF THESE TESTS DEMONSTRATE WHETHER THE LABS ARE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING VALID DATA.
