Abstract: INJURIES AND DEATHS ASSOCIATED WITH THE USE OF ALL ALL-TERRAIN VEHICLE HAVE MORE THAN DOUBLED EACH YEAR SINCE 1982. INFORMATION ON THE CHARACTERISTICS OF BOTH PRODUCT AND USER POPULATIONS, AS WELL AS USE PATTERNS AND EXPOSURE TO RISK ARE NEEDED TO DEVELOP COMMISSION POLICY TO REDUCE CONSUMER ACCIDENTS.
