Reinstatement with change of a previously approved collection
EDUCATION WILL PROVIDE BY 10-20-85 A MEMORANDUM CONFIRMING A NUMBER OF TECHNICAL CHANGES TO THE CONTENT OF THIS DATA COLLECTION. THE FOLLOWING ITEMS WILL BE DROPPED: ITEMS 13-19 AND 20-22 CONTAINED IN PART 5 OF VOLUME 3. THE COGNITIVE ITEMS IN THIS REQUEST ARE BEING RETURNED TO EDUCATION FOR SAFEKEEPING. THEY WILL BE MAINTAINED IN A FILE AND BE AVAILABLE TO OMB AT ANY TIME UPON REQUEST. THIS PROCEDURE IS BEING FOLLOWED SINCE DISCLOSURE OF THE COGNITIVE ITEMS COULD BIAS THE DATA COLLECTION ---IN ADDITION TO THE ABOVE, ITEMS 231 THROUGH 238 OF THE SCIENCE STUDENT BACKGROUND AND ATTITUDE QUESTIONS WILL BE DELETED.
