Abstract: THE REDESIGN OF THE NATIONAL HEALTH INTERVIEW SURVEY (NHISH) AS AN AREA FRAME IN 1985 PROVIDES AN OPPORTUNITY TO USE THE NHIS SAMPLE AS A SAMPLING FRAME FOR FUTURE SURVEYS. THIS PROJECT WILL INVESTIGATE THE FEASIBILITY OF LINKING TELEPHONE SURVEYS TO THE NHIS THAT WILL PROVIDE A QUICK DATA COLLECTION MECHANISM FOR A VARIETY OF PRIORITY HEALTH TOPICS.
