The paperwork
requirements for the "Income and Eligibility Verification" final
rule is approved through December 1988, on the following condition.
The Department will suggest to the States throug its Unemployment
Insurance Program Letter, a draft of which is included in this
package, that they notify the UI claimants on the claim form that
the information the claimant provides is confidential and this
confidentiality will be protected. The Department will submit by
March 15, 1986, a revised UI Program Letter that reflects this term
of clearance.

AND ELIGIBLITY VERIFICATION PROVISIONS IN THE DEFICIT REDUCTION
ACT. RULES APPLY TO STATE EMPLOYMENT SECURITY AGENCIES (SESAS) AND
REQUIRE THEM TO DISCLOSE AND OBTAIN INFORMATION FOR VERIFYING
ELIGIBILITY AND BENEFIT AMOUNTS.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
