Abstract: THIS RECORDKEEPING REQUIRES THE POSTING OR DISPLAY OF SPECIFIC PLANS ON CERTAIN CATEGORIES OF COMMERCIAL VESSELS. THE AVAILABILITY OF THES PLANS AIDS FIREFIGHTING AND DAMAGE CONTROL EFFORTS, PARTICULARLY WHEN SHORESIDE PERSONNEL ARE INVOLVED. RESPONDENTS ARE OWNERS/OPERATORS OF OCEANOGRAPHIC RESEARCH VESSELS, LARGE PASSENGER VESSELS, AND CERTAIN TANKERS AND CARGO SHIPS.
