WE HAVE APPROVED THIS COLLECTION OF INFORMATION THROUGH 8/87, BY WHICH TIME THE AGENCY PLANS TO PUBLISH A FINAL RULE REVISING ITS EXISTING STANDARD ON RESPIRATORY PROTECTION, WHICH IS REFERENCED IN THIS REGULATION. IN THE RULEMAKING ON RESPIRATORY PROTECTION, THE AGENCY SHALL COMPETELY JUSTIFY THE NEED FOR AND PRACTICAL UTILITY OF THE REQUIREMENT TO CONDUCT MONTHLY INSPECTIONS OF EMERGENCY-USE RESPIRATORS, OR SHALL CONVERT THIS RECORDKEEPING REQUIREMENT TO A CERTIFICATION IN ACCORDANCE WITH 5CFR1320.7(K)(1).
