Abstract: THE INFORMATION ON NATIONALLY NOTIFIABLE DISEASES IS COMPILED AND PUBLISHED BY CDC AS PART OF A COLLABORATIVE EFFORT WITH THE STATES IN DISEASE SURVEILLANCE AND CONTROL. THE DATA IS ALSO USED TO DETECT AND MORE EFFECTIVELY INTERRUPT OUTBREAKS OR TO RECOGNIZE A RESURGENCE OF A DISEASE.
