Abstract: THE ED FORM 1072 - STUDENT CONFIRMATION REPORT - IS COMPLETED TWICE A YEAR BY POSTSECONDARY INSTITUTIONS AND RECORDS INFORMATION ON THE STATUS OF A BORROWER WHO HAS A FEDERAL INSURED STUDENT LOAN (FISL). THIS DOCUMENT IS THE ONLY VEHICLE IN USE TO COLLECT FISL INFORMATION ON BORROWERS. IT IS USED I CONJUNCTION WITH OTHER FISL DOCUMENTS TO TRANSMIT STATUS INFO TO LENDERS.
