Abstract: THE SFSP REGULATIONS IMPLEMENT THE PROVISIONS OF P.L. 97-35 AND 96-499. THE MAINTENANCE OF THE REQUIRED RECORDS MUST SUPPORT PAYMENT, JUSTIFY ALL COSTS AND MEALS CLAIMED, IDENTIFY HEARING PROCEDURES, REVIEWS, APPEALS AND ACCOUNTING RECORDS, AND FAMILY SIZE AND INCOME DOCUMENTATION. THESE RECORDS MUST BE MAINTAINED FOR A PERI OF THREE YEARS OR LONGER IF AN AUDIT IS IN PROCESS.
