Abstract: THE AIR FORCE WILL REQUEST ARREARS OF PAY (AOP) DESIGNATION INFORMATIO FROM EACH AIR FORCE RETIREE AND USE THE INFORMATION TO AUTOMATE AND EXPEDITE AOP PAYMENTS TO BENEFICIARIES WHEN THE RETIREE DIES. UNDER OUR CURRENT SYSTEM, AOP PAYMENTS ARE DELAYED BECAUSE WE CANNOT LOCATE BENEFICIARIES NAMED YEARS AGO.
