Abstract: THE PURPOSE OF FORM C-700 IS TO COLLECT THE AMOUNT OF CONSTRUCTION PUT IN PLACE EACH MONTH FROM NATIONWIDE SAMPLE OF NEW PRIVATE NONRESIDENTIAL BUILDING PROJECTS. THESE STATISTICS ARE USED EXTENSIVELY BY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT IN MAKING POLICY DECISIONS AND BECOME PART OF THE GROSS NATIONAL PRODUCT. THEY ARE ALSO USED BY THE PRIVATE SECTOR FOR MARKET ANALYSIS AND OTHER RESEARCH.
