A RANDOM SAMPLE OF 16,000 PERSONS, AGE
45-64, WILL BE SELECTED FROM 4 COMMUNITIES. THEY WILL PROVIDE
MEDICAL, SOCIAL AND DEMOGRAPHIC INFORMATION AND WILL PARTICIPATE IN
2 CLINICAL EXAMINATIONS TO STUDY THE ETIOLOGY OF ATHEROSCLEROSIS
AND ITS CLINICAL SEQUELAE. SURVEILLANCE FOR CORONARY HEART DISEASE
WILL BE CONDUCTED IN ALL ADULT IN THESE COMMUNITIES.
