"Characteristics of the Insured Unemployed" paperwork package is
approved through August 1989 only. OMB remains concerned about the
need for and practical utility of this data collection. Thus, any
subsequent request for an extension of clearance for this
collection must be accompanied by a specific description of its use
as well as documentation of that use. For example, if data from
this information collection is included in a report to Congress, a
copy of the report should be submitted with the paperwork clearance
request.

CLAIMANT POPULATION. THE AGE, SEX, RACE/ETHNIC, INDUSTRY AND
OCCUPATION VARIABLES IDENTIFY IMPORTANT CLAIMANT COHORTS FOR
LEGISLATIVE, ECONOMIC, AND SOCIAL PLANNING PURPOS AND EVALUATION OF
