THIS SURVEY WIL GENERATE DETAILED
INFORMATION ON EMPLOYEE BENEFITS IN STATE AND LOCAL GOVERNMENTS AND
IN PRIVATE INDUSTRY IN ALTERNATE YEARS. THE CURRENT EBS, WHICH
COVERS MEDIUM AND LARGE FIRMS IN PRIVATE INDUSTRY, IS USED BY
FEDERAL AGENCIES AND CONGRESS TO DETERMINE POLICY AFFECTING BENEFIT
OF ALL WORKERS, AND BY THE PRIVATE SECTOR IN BENEFITS
ADMINISTRATION, UNION NEGOTIATIONS, AND RESEARCH.
