Abstract: LARGE CERTIFICATED AIR CARRIERS HAVING ANNUAL AUDIT MUST SUBMIT TWO COPIES OF THE AUDIT REPORT OR NOTIFY DOT THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE AN AUDI ONE COPY IS USED TO EXAMINE MAJOR DIFFERENCES BETWEEN FORM 41 AND GAAP ACCOUNTING. THE OTHER COPY IS PROVIDED TO ICAO IN FULFILLMENT OF A U.S. TREATY OBLIGATION. ALSO, THE AUDIT REPORTS ARE USED TO MONITOR AIR CARRIER FITNESS.
