Abstract: OWNERS AND OPERATORS OF HAZARDOUS WASTE TREATMENT, STORAGE, AND DISPOSAL FACILITIES AND GENERATORS WHO STORE HAZARDOUS WASTE ARE REQUIRED TO PREPARE A CONTINGENCY PLAN. THE PLAN MUST BE IMPLEMENTED IN THE EVENT OF FIRE, EXPLOSION, OR RELEASE OF HAZARDOUS WASTE. THE OWNER OR OPERATOR MUST REPORT THE INCIDENT AND NOTE DETAILS IN THE OPERATING RECORD. THE PLAN IS SUBMITTED WITH THE FACILITY'S PERMIT
