Within 90 days
of this action, NASA will provide OMB the following back-up
material to support its estimates of the burden hours associated
with this information collection: (1) an explanation of the
methodology used to estimate the burden associated with the
preparation of bids and proposals, (2) an estimate of the percent
of bids and proposals, and of associated burden hours, attributable
to each of the five major NASA program offices, (3) a series of
one-paragraph descriptions of the information collection and
recordkeeping requirements in typical bids and proposals for which
the burden is less than 50 hours, between 50 and 300 hours, between
300 an 1,000 hours, and over 1,000 hours, (4) an estimate of the
approximate number of bids and proposals falling within each of the
above categories, and, (5) the same information as requested in
points 1-4 above for the burden associated with the preparation of
technical reports.
