ONE YEAR AFTER
SECTION 203(b) OF THE RECLAMATION REFORM ACT (RRA) BECOMES
EFFECTIVE (I.E., APRIL 1988), THE BUREAU OF RECLAMATION AGREES TO
REVIEW THE USES FOR WHICH THIS INFORMATION IS COLLECTED AND TO
DETERMINE WHETHER THE INFORMATION IS APPROPRIATE AND NECESSARY.
THIS REVIEW WILL CONCENTRATE ON ASSESSING THE UTILITY OF THE
INFORMATION AS IT RELATES TO THE ENFORCEMENT OF THE RRA AND ITS
IMPLEMENTING RULES. PARTICULAR ATTENTION SHOULD BE GIVEN TO THE
VERIFICATION OF LANDHOLDINGS AND ENFORCEMENT OF FULL-COST PAYMENTS
WHEN REQUIRED. ANY CHANGES NECESSARY PURSUANT TO THE ACCOMPANYING
RULEMAKING WILL BE SUBMITTED PRIOR TO COLLECTING ANY ADDITIONAL
INFORMATION.
