Abstract: EPA IS CONDUCTING A SURVEY OF MUNICIPAL LANDFILLS TO GATHER INFORMATION ON THEIR DESIGN, OPERATING CHARACTERISTICS, WASTE TYPES AND QUANTITY, CAPACITY, HYDROGEOLOGIC AND WATER SOURCE CHARACTERISTICS AND OPERATING COSTS. THE AGENCY WILL USE THIS INFORMATION IN COMPLETI A REPORT TO CONGRESS ON THE ADEQUACY OF EXISTING SUBTITLE D CRITERIA.
