Terms of Clearance: Blanket clearance for Radio Marti audience reaction surveys is granted on a trial basis for one year. USIA should take care to show the OMB clearance number and expiration date on written materials used to conduct these surveys. Concurrent with its application for renewed clearance in 1988, USIA will submit to OMB a report on activities conducted under this clearance through September 30, 1987. This report shall contain: 1) a narrative overview of activities conducted and how the agency has used the results, 2) a table listing each information collection and the number of respondents and burden hours for each, 3) narrative descriptions of the most burdensome field survey, focus group study, and surrogate listener panel, explaining for each how the survey was conducted and how the results were used to improve Radio Marti programming, and 4) an appendix containing, for each of the collections listed in part 2 above, all questionnaires and instructions provided or read to respondents during the survey.
