Abstract: INDIVIDUAL DONORS AND VETERINARIANS ARE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE DATA AND OVERALL KNOWLEDGE CONCERNING THE HEALTH OF THE ANIMAL PRIOR TO ACQUISITION BY THE DOD FOR TRAINING AS A MILITARY WORKING DOG. IT IS NECESSARY FOR THE ANIMAL TO MEET ACCEPTABLE SANDARDS FOR HEALTH, COLOR, TEMPERAMENT, AGE, SEX AND ANCESTRY PRIOR TO ACCEPTANCE BY THE DOD.
