NIOSH AND MSHA NEED A RELIABLE MEANS
OF ASSESSING AND PRIORITIZING POTENTIAL EXPOSURES OF MINE WORKERS
TO CHEMICAL AND PHYSICAL AGENTS. THE DATA WILL BE USED IN
ESTABLISHING RESEARCH PRIORITIES, AND BY MSHA AS REQUIRED BY
SECTION 101.(A)(6)(B) OF THE 1977 MINE SAFETY AND HEALTH
ACT.
