In accordance
with the overall 5 percent reduction in burden hours mandated by
Congress, Commerce will examine the trademark application process
to determine appropriate areas in which a reduction of burden could
be implemented. Commerce should consolidate forms within groups
such as Application for Trademark Registration, so that one general
form in each area can be used in all situations. All forms mu bear
the OMB approval number and date of expiration. In addition, this
package did not contain the appropriate dcocumentation of
Commerce]'s legal and regulatory authority to engage in this
collection. This must be provided by 3/31/87.
