Abstract: THE RECORDKEEPING AND REPORTING REQUIREMENTS IMPOSED BY THE BANK SECRECY ACT ON FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS ARE PART OF A LARGER EFFORT DIRECTED AT ORGANIZED AND WHITE-COLLAR CRIMINALS AND TAX EVADERS WHO U FOREIGN OR DOMESTIC BANK ACCOUNTS TO FACILITATE THEIR TRANSACTIONS OR CONCEAL DRUG AND OTHER VIOLATIONS.
