Abstract: SECTION 515 AND 711 OF P.L. 95-87 REQUIRES APPLICANTS FOR SPECIAL TYPE OF MINING ACTIVITIES TO PROVIDE THE REGULATORY AUTHORITY WITH SPECIFIC INFORMATION OF PLANS FOR THE ACTIVITY. THIS INFORMATION WILL BE USED THE REGULATORY AUTHORITY TO DETERMINE IF THE PROPOSED MINE AND RECLAMATION PLAN COMPLY WITH THE STANDARDS OF THE REGULATORY PROGRAM AND THE LAW.
