WE HAVE APPROVED
CONTINUED USE OF THESE RECORDKEEPING REQUIREMENTS THROUGH MARCH
1988, IN LIGHT OF THE AGENCY'S SIGNIFICANT EFFORTS TO REVIEW AND
REDUCE REGULATORY PAPERWORK BURDENS IN OTHER, HIGHER PRIORITY
AREAS. IN ORDER TO ENABLE US TO EXTEND APPROVAL OF THESE
RECORDKEEPING REQUIREMENTS PAST THAT DATE, HOWEVER, THE AGENCY MUST
SCHEDULE A REGULATORY REVIEW OF THESE REQUIREMENTS IN THE 1988
REGULATORY PROGRAM OF THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT. THE SCHEDULE
SHOULD INCLUDE DATES FOR PROPOSED AND FINAL RULES, SHOULD THE
REVIEW CONCLUDE THAT CERTIFICATIONS, AS DEFINED IN 5CFR1320.7(K),
WOULD ENABLE THE AGENCY TO PROPERLY FULFILL ITS FUNCTIONS AT A
LESSER BURDEN TO THE PUBLIC.
