ADDITION OF THE WORD "READILY" BEFORE "AVAILABLE" IN THE GENERAL
INSTRUCTIONS REGARDING ESTIMATES. THE FY88 RESPONSE BURDEN THE
AGENCY SUBMITS VIA INVENTORY CORRECTION WORKSHEET SHOULD SHOW A
MINIMUM OF THREE HOURS PER RESPONSE FOR THIS COLLECTION: THERE IS
NO EVIDENCE THAT THIS QUESTIONNAIRE CAN BE COMPLETED WITH
REASONABLE CARE BY ANYON IN LESS THAN THIS AMOUNT OF TIME. FOR THE
NEXT (1992) ECONOMIC CENSUS THE AGENCY IS REQUESTED TO REVIEW THE
GOVERNMENT'S NEED FOR BREAKOUTS OF DATA BY CLASS OF EQUIPMENT AND

THE ECONOMIC CENSUSES, CONDUCTED UNDER
PROVISIONS OF TITLE 13, UNITED STATES CODE, SECTION 131, CONSTITUTE
THE PRIMARY SOURCE OF FACTS ABOUT THE STRUCTURE AND FUNCTIONING OF
A LARGE SEGMENT OF THE ECONOMY AND PROVIDE ESSENTIAL INFORMATION
FOR GOVERNMENT, BUEINESS, AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC. THEY PROVIDE AN
IMPORTANT PART OF THE FRAMEWORK FOR THE NATIONAL ACCOUNTS AND SERVE
AS BENCHMARKS FOR ECONOMIC INDICATORS.
